 the kids decorated cookies

This morning a bunch of ladies from church got together and made crafts! The kids got to make yummy cookies while the grown ups got to make sweet little turkeys out of our kid's hands. It was really hard to get the twins to open their hands as they were amazed by the feel of paint in between their little fingers! With fifteen kiddos in the house it was crazy. We were surprised that no one got hurt and nothing was broken! Needless to say the girls were like a ticking time bomb and we had to rush home for a nap! I'm super excited for the next Christmas craft party! A BIG thanks for my sweet friends Laura & Tessli for pulling this together for us :)

Warm Fires and Full Hearts

"Oh the weather outside is frightful"
Mommy looked away for one second!

The BEST (spilled) hot cocoa ever
Cuddling with Daddy and Molly's straw
Christmas eggs (recipe to post soon, unless my mom wants to keep it a secret!)
 look... at... that!

 they loved it!

Last night was our first "winter-weather" night! The high for the day was 40 and the low was below freezing! We figured this called for a warm fire and hot cocoa. Unfortunately the fire didn't last long and Daddy had to run out for a starter log. I put my energy is making us Christmas Eggs. The best egg dish in the world! Cheese, ham, bacon goodness! It was hard keeping the girls away from the now large fire but Sophia found some temporary distraction with my cup of hot cocoa. She is really good at spilling things that aren't hers! It was a great night of cuddling and playing on the floor. The best part? Its going to stay cold for awhile so nights like these are going to be many.

"One day I'll catch her"

Molly is such a tease! The girls have been trying for months to catch her. She lets them get close enough to touch her tail then runs 3 feet and it starts over! This day she was trapped. No escape in sight. Turns out cats can never be trapped. She spanked Lilly multiple times on the head to put her in her place! All the excitement made her so tired she folded in half and fell asleep on the floor. One day she will catch her.

Fresh Air

We were lucky enough this weekend to get some fresh air! It was a perfect day and the girls loved the swings! Well..... Lilly loved the swings, Sophia could care less!

Nine Months

Happy nine months! You sweet have learned to much this month. Both of you are crawling (Sophia was first) and pulling up on everything! Mommy's life has now become a lot smaller as your world gets bigger. Sophia, you now have two teeth fully in! Lilly, you have one and are working on the second. This month Lilly learned to babble! You can say "dada" and "baba". You like to go on walks and you love to chase the kitty around but you can never catch her! Your favorite food right now is hummus on toast, but you do make a big mess. At your nine month appointment Lilly weighed 20 pounds while Sophia weighed 18.5 pounds! The funny part is that you are both the same height! You favorite toys right now are straps of all kinds; car seat straps, highchair straps and stroller straps. Sophia, Mommy and Daddy thing that you might walk soon! You are always trying to stand up in the middle of the room. Mommy has to start planning your birthday party!
